GTG Testing Tips: Define Operating Modes Before EMC Testing
Clearly defined operating modes, interfaces and accessory lists help make EMC testing preparation more efficient.
EMC testing examines the electromagnetic effects a product generates and its performance in relevant electromagnetic environments. GTG provides EMC testing support for robotics, energy storage and electrical and electronic products, and recommends documenting operating modes and accessories before submitting samples.
Motor speed, charging and discharging loads, wireless transmission states and external cables may all affect test conditions. Development teams can first document typical use scenarios, identify functions that can operate simultaneously and provide procedures for reproducing these conditions consistently.
If an abnormality occurs during testing, record the sample version, operating mode and observed behavior to support analysis of power, construction and wiring factors. After corrective changes, assess whether other test items are affected. Testing plans should remain coordinated with development, manufacturing and certification documentation management.
