Certification Overview

ICASA

The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) regulates broadcasting, communications and postal services. All wireless products require ICASA certification before entering South Africa. Wireless communications equipment must undergo type approval and pass review before sale. Certificates can be issued only to locally registered South African companies or representative entities, so overseas manufacturers should generally apply through a local importer. Testing may be completed in the manufacturer's home country.
