1. Certification Overview

Wireless products require MoC certification to enter the Israeli market. Regulatory approval is issued by Israel's Ministry of Transport (MoC). At the end of the approval period, full recertification is required whether or not the product has undergone technical modifications. After 5 years, manufacturers may no longer continue distributing the product in Israel without renewed approval.

1. Radio transmitters, RFID equipment, contactless card readers and other products containing RF transmitters.

2. Radio terminal equipment

3. GSM or CDMA mobile phones, WLAN equipment such as Wi-Fi devices, Bluetooth devices, ZigBee devices, WiMAX equipment, RFID devices, contactless card readers and other products containing RF transmitters.

4. Certification Standards

MoC certification is based on European market approval requirements under the Radio Equipment Directive (RED). It accepts test reports prepared for CE marking, so local testing in an Israeli laboratory is not required. However, a local Israeli representative must be involved at the end of the certification process.

5. Certification Process

1. Determine the required certification for the specific product.

2. Conduct compliance testing during design and development.

3. Check documents and samples, where required, before submission to avoid delays.

4. Manage the complete document submission process.

5. Pay certification fees in local currency.

6. Follow up regularly with the authorities to track progress.

7. Provide regular status updates to keep the customer informed.

8. Support updates to previous applications.
