FAQs

Robot vacuums with wireless functions fall under the CE-RED Directive, covering RF, EMC and electrical safety assessment, and must also meet ErP energy efficiency and RoHS hazardous substance requirements. GTG can cover all RED assessment items in one testing process and issue the reports needed for the CE Declaration of Conformity.
Robot vacuums are not included in the mandatory CCC certification catalogue. Sales in China require quality inspection reports to GB 4706.1 / GB 4706.7. Models with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or other wireless modules also require SRRC type approval.
Yes. Lithium battery packs require IEC 62133-2 safety testing and UN 38.3 transportation safety testing, mandatory for air and sea transport. Some markets, such as South Korea under KC and Japan under PSE, require separate battery registration. This can proceed alongside complete-product testing.
Certification for a single market, such as CE or FCC, normally takes 2–3 weeks. Combined multi-market certification can be completed in 3–4 weeks through parallel testing. Expedited processing may be requested when documentation is complete and samples pass the first test.
Standard projects require 2–3 complete products, with separate units for safety and EMC testing. Battery pack samples are counted separately according to UN 38.3 requirements. Engineers confirm quantities when preparing the plan and quotation.
The charging dock and main unit are assessed separately. The dock undergoes power-supply safety and EMC testing, while the main unit is assessed against the complete-product standard. When sold as a set, both reports support the same certificate application.
